Frank Cole - Senior Vice President
Frank Cole has been employed as real estate lender, developer and consultant. Consulting assignments have included real estate developers, lenders and government agencies including the FSLIC, FADA, RTC and the FDIC. Recently he has been representing landlords and tenants in over 50 lease transactions worth over $10 million.
Mr. Cole was also Managing Partner in a commercial real estate company located in Dallas which included the largest commercial brokerage company in North Texas. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of the parent company, President of its property management subsidiary and started its asset management subsidiary. He took an in-house property management company and turned it into a fee based management company focused on third party management services. The properties included garden and mid rise office, retail, multi family and over 30 self storage properties. The asset management company secured contracts with the Resolution Trust Company for over $300 million dollars of assets spread nationwide but concentrated in California.
The variety of consulting assignments has included:
Accepted as expert witness in federal bankruptcy court on business plan feasibility and state court on lease termination damage calculation.
Led groups to do portfolio analysis at thrift closings for the FSLIC and FADA.
Mixed use development of 250 acres.
Developer portfolio of high rise office and retail.
Six asset commercial portfolio with hotel, condo, and marina properties.
Golf course property for long term financial feasibility.
Have written, reviewed and/or evaluated over 100 business plans.
He has been a general partner for several partnerships including: a) acquisition and rehab of a 240 unit multifamily project with tax increment bonds, and b) a franchise restaurant development company doing business in Florida and the greater Baltimore-Washington area where he was responsible for site selection and franchisee recruitment.
Mr. Cole began as a commercial lender with the largest bank in the South. He served in several divisions including credit, asset based lending and the small business group. Afterwards he was recruited to start a Loan Production Office for a Texas thrift where was an Executive officer and made commercial real estate loans throughout the Southwest. Mr. Cole has held a Series 7 license and real estate brokerage licenses in Texas, Maryland and D.C.
