Tony Pour, Sr. Vice President

Tony Pour, a Senior Vice President of S.E. Covington & Company, Inc., has extensive experience in starting up businesses, running them successfully and assessing the timing in business dispositions. Tony’s experience has given him a first hand appreciation of the hurdles faced simultaneously by a business owner in raising capital, managing operations, meeting bank commitments and attaining profit goals.

Beginning his career as a stockholder and Vice President of Perky’s Enterprises, Inc. in Houston, Tony successfully managed and sold the company in 1978. This experience led him to enter the real estate brokerage business in 1980 and building on his successes, he started his own company, the Bizmark Group, in 1992.

His experience includes negotiating and closing contracts for the sale or purchase of over a thousand businesses as well as handling a number of real estate sales & leases. Additionally, he has extensive experience in the areas of business valuation, financing, real estate, and lease negotiation.

Tony’s hands on experience in owning and operating his own business, negotiating numerous business & real estate sales and purchases and his valuation experience allows him to provide a unique perspective to his clients.

Tony is a Houstonian and received his BS degree in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He completed additional courses including business law, management, accounting and real estate in order to broaden his knowledge for entering the entrepreneurial field.
